SURVEYORCENTRAL.COM ANNOUNCES PLANS TO PREMIERE ITS INTERNET-BASED CAREER CENTER FOR SURVEYORS AT EXHIBITION IN LAS VEGAS

Job and Resume Posting to be Available On-line at the 2001 ACSM-CLSA-NALS-WFPS Conference and Exhibition March 18th

Charleston, West Virginia – March 5, 2001 – SurveyorCentral.com, the leading Internet land surveying destination for commerce, community and knowledge, today announced plans to unveil its Internet-based Career Center in Las Vegas. SurveyorCentral.com will be exhibiting at Booth #113 during the 2001 conference and exhibition sponsored by The American Congress on Surveying and Mapping (ACSM), The California Land Surveyor Association (CLSA), The Nevada Association of Land Surveyors (NALS) and The Western Federation of Professional Surveyors (WFPS).

The Career Center will provide complete on-line job management and recruiting services to employers on a 24/7 basis. The goal of the system is to match employers with applicants based upon the employers’ requirements and the applicants’ skill profile. The system will allow employers to create custom home pages and will provide information on the jobs they have listed based upon selected criteria. Employers will have the ability to view resumes that have been posted to their jobs or search the entire database of resumes based upon multiple search criteria.

The Career Center will also provide free resume posting to professionals in the surveying and related industries. “Our profile matching technology provides a benefit over other systems out there by bringing employers and applicants together with minimal effort on their part, “ explained Anthony Mazelon, President of SurveyorCentral. The flexibility of the Career Center allows professionals to build different resumes for different types of positions. The applicant can then select the resume they would like to use to apply for individual or groups of jobs. Applicants will have access to a profile matching technology called Job Watch. This system will search for job listings that best fit an applicant’s skill profile and notify them.

Mazelon continues to explain, “This offering has been one of the most frequently requested services by our members. We took the time to find the most technologically advanced resource to provide a benefit rich solution that offers ease-of-use.”

To celebrate the inauguration of the Career Center, SurveyorCentral will be offering a 50% discount to employers who list their jobs during the week of the conference and the week following. Those interested can visit the site on-line or stop by the booth for details. Also, for a limited time, employers will be given free access to the on-line database of resume postings.

The Career Center was developed through a strategic partnership between Applications Gateway, owners of SurveyorCentral.com and Rev Interactive.
